Hi folks,
It’s time to start writing a daily blog post. This will be good for me to 1) help track what I’ve been doing during fun-employment and 2) exercise my underdeveloped writing muscle.
From a tracking perspective, today is Day 17 of fun-employment. The past two weeks are starting to blur together, despite my best attempts to stay productive and plan my time. I find that all my thoughts and threads are too loosely organized and fail to communicate a sense of progress. Moreover, I want to avoid looking back on this time and not remembering how I spent it. I intend to use this space to share topical ideas and updates on my threads.
Recently, I’ve been inspired by my friends and peers to be more proactive about communicating and writing. There’s a few themes backing this inspiration: 1) reaching the point of our lives where it’s important to express our thoughts via writing, 2) becoming more open to sharing our vulnerabilities, 3) the Corona environment that has made us more proactive about reaching out and expressing ourselves. While previously I wanted to write punchy, interesting technical articles, that format has too low of a content-to-research ratio. My goal for the next while is just to churn content and become accustomed to the writing process. Hopefully, it’ll become a habit after ~40 days.
As a taster of upcoming content, what have I been working on thus far? Some combination of trading options, building a RFID skimmer, recreational reading, cooking, and perfecting my house-boyfriend persona. Further thoughts and writing coming up, please stay tuned.
